Mechanical ventilation in operating room, and especially during major surgery, is of great interest. Recent studies have shown that ventilatory strategy and settings are responsible for some post operative respiratory morbidity. Fort this reason we develop a model of virtual patients under anesthesia in order to teach respiratory mechanic and ventilatory settings through simulation to all the people involved in respiratory management in the operating room.
To evaluate our virtual patients in the operating room, we applied the two protocols of the Improve study and compared our virtual results to those of the Study.
